There’s a special kind of courage in stepping into the unknown—whether it’s the journey of an immigrant leaving their homeland or the creative process itself. That leap into uncertainty is where freedom and possibility are born.


In my latest column for Perfil, I share my reflections on how creativity and migration are deeply connected. Drawing from my own experience as an immigrant in Miami and my work, like the Heart of Community installation at the Faena Hotel, I explore how embracing the unknown allows us to build connections, create community, and reimagine what’s possible.
