HEART OF COMMUNITY

The project first took shape through Heart of Community, a large-scale installation commissioned by Faena Art in Miami and exhibited throughout 2023.

Transforming the Faena Art Project Room into a vibrant artistic universe, the installation brought together textile art, fashion, collage, murals, and moving image to create a distinctly Latin American Pop aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from vernacular religious imagery, urban visual culture, and the celebratory symbolism of the quinceañera, the space explored themes of womanhood, memory, and cultural identity.

Thousands of visitors stepped into the installation, which functioned as a living community hub through workshops, conversations, and creative activations that invited the public to participate directly in the work.

The project was later recognized by the City of Miami Beach for its cultural and social impact.

hoc.club

This next chapter takes shape through HOC.CLUB.

Developed by Anabella and Agos Bergero, HOC.CLUB expands Heart of Community into an ongoing creative world where art, fashion, wellness, and leisure intersect through curated gatherings, collaborative experiences, and limited creative releases.

Rooted in the same spirit that animated the original installation, HOC.CLUB invites people to step into a living community shaped by creativity, cultural exchange, and intentional leisure.

ACT I:

Life as an act.

Alone in the penthouse, the artist moves through the rooms wearing the dress that brought her there. The piece first appeared at the Faena Art Gala in 2023, where it received the Best Dress Prize, becoming the starting point of this story.

In this first act, the dress returns to the Faena Penthouse, where creation begins again before the world arrives.

CONSTRUCTING IDENTITIES

Heart of Community builds upon Bergero’s earlier exhibition Constructing Identities, presented at the Art and Design Gallery at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York between 2021 and 2022.

Developed in collaboration with digital printing company Mimaki, the immersive fashion installation explored the quinceañera rite of passage through a vibrant pop visual language. The exhibition examined how ritual, fashion, and cultural symbolism shape the construction of identity.

Following the exhibition, the project expanded into a series of public activations across Miami Beach, including murals, workshops, and panel conversations centered on womanhood and Latinidad.

WALMART:
"LOS QUINCES"

The project has also inspired creative collaborations with cultural institutions and brands, including the Quinceañeras project developed with Walmart in 2024, which translated the visual language of Heart of Community into a new creative context celebrating Latin American traditions, fashion, and community.

Each new iteration builds upon the spirit of the original installation, transforming artistic exploration into spaces where people can connect, create, and experience culture together.
